Our Spanish-inspired Smoked Pork Chorizo packs a delicious porky punch… the perfect addition to your next tapas spread, soups, stews, pastas, pizzas or salad.

How it’s made…

Like all our sausages, this Smoked Pork Chorizo is made with carefully selected Freedom Farmed pork cuts – including pork shoulder and jowl.

A note about flavour: Spanish chorizo is often described as picante – meaning spicy or hot. Our take has a wee bit of zing but we wouldn’t describe it as hot. We flavour it with plenty of smoked paprika and a touch of garlic… but leave it to you to amp up the spiciness of your dish to suit your own tastes. This makes it more enjoyable for family eating and a wider range of applications.

While our Smoked Pork Chorizo is already fully cooked and safe to eat as is, we encourage you to give it a sizzle in a pan… it adds oomph to the flavour, and the silky, flavoursome fat rendered will help the deliciousness permeate your dish. Magic stuff.

Packaging Stewardship

Rinse and dry the plastic outer and return
to the soft plastics recycling bin at your local grocery store.

With careful management, soft plastic waste can be kept in a closed loop system – plastic from this product can be recycled into fence posts which are utilised on the same farms this product came from.
