Our Pork

Freedom Farms Pork cuts are available from a delightful bunch of local butchers – both in your grocery store and at specialist independent butcheries. The exact cuts may vary… but we’ve set out a rough guide below as a starting point.

Put more pork on your fork.

We reckon pork can do pretty much anything – except maybe fly. From crisp crackling, to sweet stir fries and those succulent slow-cooked staples, there’s a pork cut for every recipe.

low and slooooooow.

Cooking pork this way means you’ll achieve a nice even cook, and give enough time for all the good stuff hanging out in the cut to render and breakdown. This is how you create the tender, succulent meat that gets everyone fighting for the last piece!

Cracking the crackling

Everyone has a fave technique to nail the crackling. Ours is cranking up the oven temp for the final half hour of the cook.

Keep the grease!

That beautiful rich lard left in the pan is precious! Pork lard is a superfood (and, a super food!) and can be used for all sorts – frying potatoes, making cookies or sautéing greens.
