Rise and shine! These lean flavour-packed rashers are worth leaping out of bed for!
Our flashest lean eye rashers… carefully trimmed and naturally wood-smoked. The Kiwi version of the bacon you’d find at old-school British butchers.
How it’s made…
The butchers trim one of the best cuts of the pig for this bacon: the loin. A long and lean muscle that runs along the back of the pig, this tender flavoursome option makes for very good eating.
We use a wet brine to cure this creates delightfully tender bacon that will go crispy in all the right places while remaining nice and moist. All our bacon is also naturally wood smoked… you know by burning actual wood. No tricky flavours here.

This is simple stuff: pan + medium heat + a couple of mins each side = bacon perfection. Because this is a lean cut you’re not going to render much fat – so just give it a gentle sizzle to get a wee bit of caramelisation going… and then get down to eating.

With careful management, soft plastic waste can be kept in a closed loop system – plastic from this product can be recycled into fence posts which are utilised on the same farms this product came from.
